What is CC cream?

CC cream, also known as Color Control cream, or color correcting cream, is a refined blemish balm cream or Beauty Balm created and developed in Korea. BB cream was originally formulated in Germany and has gained high popularity in Asia, and is also gaining popularity Europe and North America. CC cream is widely used in Asia to provide natural-looking skin coverage. While BB cream was manufactured primarily as a skincare product, CC cream was developed to retain all the skincare benefits of BB cream with added nourishing ingredients and the additional aim to provide more effective skin coverage. CC cream was formulated with technology originating in Japan and further developed in Korea. Okay, now I will review Rachel K CC cream in neutral shade.

Packaging: not too big and light, 30ml, yeah travel friendly. Its like the simple packaging. And bright pink tube looks really cute! But the tube without pump that's unhygienic.

Texture: creamy.

Quality: (medium to full cover), very natural on me. Looks like I don't even put on anything on my face! but it is covering up few dark spots and pores. Long lasting, it didn’t cakey, or leave me looking like a greasy mess after all those hours.

Finish:  Powdery matte. The product feels and spreads powdery, I think it’s because of all the polymers and dimethicones in the ingredients. It definitely has that silky feeling. Now, I wouldn’t say it leaves a completely matte finish, because when you’re done, your skin is left with an awesome glow, but not at all heavy or cakey on the skin. Ideal for normal to oily skin!

Optimal Occasion:  Personally, I would rather use this product either on days when my skin is looking great already or on casual days, this product already performs really well indoors or outdoors.
